Amy Lundstrom
I fell in love with the special beauty of Shelter Cove many years ago and have been lucky enough to make it home for the last seven years with my husband and pup.
I'm a big believer in how individual expressions through arts & crafts helps us appreciate each other and find understanding for unique views.
One thing my career in photography has taught me is the value of ranging perspectives. I maintain my photography studio in Santa Barbara Ca., est. 2002 and happily photograph events, people and homes in Humboldt county as well.
As a partner in "Arts At Heart" I'm thrilled to play a role in hosting art activities in the cove and I'm enjoying meeting and working with so many talented local makers to build this unique collective gallery/gift shop, est. 2021

Heather Hussey Van Gaale
I have always been extremely passionate about photography and beauty. From an early age I started freelancing for local newspapers and from there expanded into a variety of photography genres such as documentary photography, weddings & portraits, food & wine events...and then on to fashion, editorial and travel projects. Along the way I have enjoyed location scouting for the purpose of organizing exotic group photography excursions for photographers and models at unique and distant locations around the world.
With my life partner, Eric, who is an active conservation-minded person, I too became interested in preserving wildlife habitats, old-growth forests, rivers and coastal environments. Really it was our conservation interests that led us to the Pacific Northwest where we discovered the raw beauty of the Lost Coast, Shelter Cove and Mario's Marina.
Currently, we are in the process of restoring the historic Shelter Cove marina, restaurant, bar and motel for the community and to create an enhanced Lost Coast visitors experience.
